Danish Tour Operator Says Ski Trips to Bulgaria Up 30%

Danish tour operator Penguin Travel said bookings for Bulgaria's ski resorts were up by 30% this winter.
The company have booked winter holidays for 1,500 Danes in Bulgaria's Bansko, Pamporovo and Borovets ski resorts.
Penguin Travel runs a weekly charter flight between Copenhagen and Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second largest city. The offers of Danish tour operator include birdwatching, a trek through Bulgarian Pirin-Rhodopes mountains, mountainous horseriding and exclusive ski-holiday packages at Pamporovo, Bansko and Borovets.
The company, which brought some 4,000 Danish vacationers to Bulgaria in 2004, said that 30% of summertime bedroom occupancy has been booked.
Bulgaria is featured in the 2005 catalogues of 15 Danish tour operators. << Back to list of articles |
