The local government in Bansko has divided the resort town into construction and villa zones with different building height restrictions in a bid to ease the taxing effect of overpopulation on civic infrastructure. The Gramadeto, Sveti Ivan, Gurovitsa, Karantia, Asanitsa and Sredoreko areas have been zoned for construction with a 3-storey height limit. The height limit in the villa zones is 2 storeys. The municipality has issued 25 construction permits so far in 2005, most of them for apartment complexes. << Back to list of articles |
