Thousands of visitors attend Borovets official opening on 21st December!
Updated: 2008-12-23We are pleased to announce that Borovets ski resort was officially opened on the 21st December and thousands of tourists attended the opening ceremonies in the resort. To make the day perfect, the resort enjoyed plenty of snowfall and the new four person chair lift Markudzhik 2 and the new 1km long ski tug. Capacity is 2400 people per hour.
A new ski park designed especially for children was unveiled and tested by children from the Dragalevtsi orphanage. For many of the children, it was the first time they had ever skiied!
Throughout the resort there were plenty of festive activities to celebrate the opening of Borovets. It is expected that the ski season will be one of the best in recent years too.
